Using Tenix

Connect Bus, a leading public transport operator in Scandinavia, is expanding the use of Tenix Charge Management Software to manage 500 more electric buses in Norway and Sweden, bringing their total number of Buses using Tenix to more than 1000. This agreement, valued at up to 25 million NOK builds on a long-term collaboration to make electric bus operations more reliable and cost-efficient.

A Partnership Built on Innovation

Connect Bus and Tenix began partnering in 2016, united by the goal to make electric mobility reliable, efficient, and scalable. Tenix technology is now central to Connect Bus operations, ensuring buses are charged, on schedule, and ready for passengers.

“Connect Bus is a modern and innovative transport company,” said Torbjørn G. Krøvel, CEO of Saga Tenix. “Together, we’re demonstrating how smart technology and artificial intelligence can ensure both cost-efficient operations and a more sustainable public transport service.”

Smart Charging Across 28 Depots

Tenix Charge enables efficient and safe charging at 28 depots in Norway and Sweden. The system automatically optimizes charging using operational schedules, grid capacity, and real-time electricity prices.

By bringing together different data sources, Tenix charges each vehicle in a way that cuts costs, extends battery life, and lowers the environmental impact.

Efficiency Through AI and Shared Infrastructure

With AI and machine learning, Tenix adapts to changes in routes, weather, and energy availability. This reduces energy use and gives Connect Bus real-time fleet oversight. A key innovation is Energy as a Service (EaaS) or Depot Sharing, a model where charging infrastructure and management are provided as a service, which allows other operators to use excess charging capacity at Connect Bus depots. These innovations maximize use and lower public transport costs.

Connect Bus is also adding a new depot management functionality from Tenix that unifies charging, parking, and operations for more efficient daily management.

Efficiency Through AI and Shared Infrastructure

“We have collaborated with Tenix for many years and are pleased to use their systems on even more buses. The solutions provide real operational benefits, such as reliable performance in all weather, increased fleet utilization, innovation in Energy as a Service, and battery health monitoring. Tenix delivers functionality we need, driving cost savings and service reliability, not just promises.”

Bent Kjersem Drageset, Managing Director of Connect Bus Norway.

Tenix software strengthens Connect Bus as one of Scandinavia’s top electric fleet operators, blending technology, sustainability, and dependable service for daily passengers.

The Tenix Advantage
