Event date: 19-20th November, 2025
Tenix will be participating and speaking at this event. The deployment of clean fuel buses (hybrid, electric, hydrogen) in the United States has gained momentum in recent years, driven by federal and state-level commitments to clean transportation.
However, the policy landscape for deployment of zero emission buses (ZEBs) remains uncertain under the new administration. A shift in federal policies could impact funding allocations, emissions regulations, and incentives that have supported the expansion of zero-emission transit fleets. Industry stakeholders must adapt to evolving priorities while maintaining momentum toward long-term environmental and operational goals.
There is already a lot of valuable experience that agencies, industry players and operators have in deployment of clean buses. It is important for this experience to be shared – to develop best practices, accelerate adoption and improve technology.
Given the progress in recent years, many new areas of opportunities have emerged. These include provision of fleet monitoring solutions, AI-enabled platforms for scheduling, operating, monitoring hybrid buses/ ZEBs, battery monitoring solutions, solutions for real-time data analytics to assess the performance of hybrid buses/ZEBs, battery charging and management services for bus operators, IoT-enabled solutions for buses to improve safety, efficiency and passenger experience, and so on.
Yet, challenges remain. Scaling up clean bus and ZEB deployment requires addressing manufacturing capacity, infrastructure readiness, grid limitations, extreme weather performance and workforce training. Collaboration across transit agencies, operators, industry, utilities, and policymakers will be key to overcoming these barriers and advancing the future of clean public transportation.
To discuss recent developments, expected policy changes, and new opportunities, Global Mass Transit is organizing its fifth conference on ‘Clean Buses – US’, on November 19-20, 2025 in the San Francisco Bay Area.
The mission of the conference is to discuss the plans of state government departments and transit agencies to deploy clean fuel buses (electric, hydrogen), the experience so far, case studies, best practices in installation of electric charging and hydrogen refueling infrastructure, innovative financing mechanisms, lessons learned in workforce training and upskilling, and strategies to leverage AI in bus transit. The conference will also highlight new opportunities and showcase technological innovations.
The conference will bring together policymakers, transit agencies, state transport departments, local government officials, OEMs, suppliers of bus components, AI solution providers, energy providers, charging solution suppliers and battery manufacturers, hydrogen-fueling infrastructure providers, funding agencies, consultants, researchers, and academicians.
